Spring 2024

Spring is the perfect time of year to explore here in the Napa County. The wildflower blooms, green hillsides, and clear warming days leading way to outstanding views. Spring is also a wonderful time of year  for venturing out and exploring the hiking trails in and around Napa Valley, or to find a relaxing spot and enjoy a delicious picnic.

Let us be your one stop shop to help you gather all you could need for a picnic lunch to take along and explore this beautiful time of

year in the valley.

Some of our favorite hiking destinations include:

Moore Creek Park  at Lake Hennessey  in St. Helena features more than 6 miles of new trails and is dog-friendly. One trail wraps around the lake so you can enjoy the blue water, or trek the other way to the secret water hole at the top.

Bothe-Napa Valley State Park   just up the road from St. Helena along highway 29  offers camping, picnicking, swimming, and more than 10 miles of hiking trails that go through shaded stands of coastal redwoods as well as forests of Douglas-fir, oak, and madrone. Visit the pioneer cemetery. Picnic tables and day use are available. There is a $10 entrance fee.

One of our favorite picnic spots is the Bale Grist Mill, established in 1846
